Property building in Caledonian Hotel 'A Bespoke Hotel’
The building itself is quite dated & it it strange to have to carry a great big door key around with you rather than a key card etc, and it's very nature is a little rambling. The room was quaint but once again things like squeaky floorboards & older equipment give it a bit of a bed & breakfast feel rather than a hotel, but it was light & airy and the staff were exceedingly helpful, printing off 4 pages from an e mail I asked for, whereas the hotel the previous night had refused to do so. We had dinner & went out to enjoy the scenery but came back to music in the main bar which was very nice and made the evening move along nicely. Breakfast was superb with a very good choice including fried bread, that seems to have been completely replaced by hash browns these days. All in all a lovely stay that I would heartily recommend

We stayed as an overnighter recently before taking the ferry to Lewis for a music festival, we’d heard some poor reports about the hotel but I’ve always loved the phrase “expect nothing, appreciate everything”. It’s reasonable value for money, maybe a touch pricey when adding breakfast to the mix as well as a an add on. The Caledonian is a bright, vibrant fresh hotel; clean, modern and everything you would want in a hotel used for short stay. Rooms are not massive but not small either, spotlessly clean and well appointed, there is a nice ambiance to the rooms as well. The restaurant and bar areas maintain the cleanliness and fresh vibe of the rest of the hotel and are pleasant to sit in for a while. Breakfast is plentiful and very varied and good!

Recently renovated hotel in a fantastic location, right in the centre of Ullapool, just back from the harbour. Our room was freshly decorated with a big, modern bathroom and a lovely view of the hills with glimpses of the sea. Very dog friendly, we ate our evening meal in a dog friendly area just outside the main dining room. Ignore the old reviews, the Caledonian is being constantly improved.

This hotel is a good place to stay for a night in Ullapool. The rooms were clean and modest, great for one night. The town is very small, and this hotel is central to many things (although most places closed at 5 before we got there). The grocery store is around the corner. We made reservations at the restaurant in the hotel in advance, and the food was very good and we enjoyed our wine.

The hotel has had much improvement since I last stayed, although the improvements where desperately needed they've made it a much better establishment. The car park is excellent now, the rooms have had a good redecoration and it feels much more modern now. Checking in and out is very quick and easy, and breakfast had a good selection and I personally enjoy being able to just help myself.
